Block nearly 6,000 IP addresses in the last 2 days

  • The last 2 days have been plagued with hackers finding all the weak admin passwords on all wordpress sites in the world (presumably to load malware for drive by downloads and other malfeasance).

    I host my own wordpress sites and have WP Fail2Ban set to 1 failure! It has blocked over 6,000 IP addresses in the the last 36 hours!
