Block Theme compatibility and Block Checkout

The shortcode {billing_eu_vat_number} is visible in my checkout. currently, VAT number field is empty in the checkout.

Also, the vat number field doesn’t contain the value set in my profile.

New test:

Adding a product to cart > Cart > Checkout > Enter Vat and now finally confirmed, but it jumps to here.

Jumping backwards in history, first it renders cart is empty for half a second, and then it renders the cart, that I backwarded to.

VAT at registration does not appear to find anything at all. Danish VAT fx 54562519 Lego A/S not validated.

You can try the latest version of the plugin, EU VAT Manager 2.12.2.

We have made that “Checkout Block” part optional and added a new setting under Admin & Advanced > Checkout Block Field.

Before enabling, please ensure WooCommerce is at the latest version or at least 9.0 or above.

The problem I see is that after inserting VAT using the Block Based Checkout, and number is validated as “valid” I still see the VAT in the “Order summary”. So nothing is discounted or updated in that section. This is confusing and frustrating for customers.

I think that when a valid VAT is entered, the order summary must live load and show the prices without VAT.

VAT check still failing. This is Lego!!!

Why is unregistered VAT greyed out and not accessible? Does that mean when a vat is not registered purchase is blocked?

I do not see a company name at checkout, even though I have asked for auto fill and set SOAP as checker.

Note: Company name field does show in my-account > addresses

that plugin is discontinued as announced by David. More of the functions are ported to Woo core, such as vat table look-up.

I can agree that this plugin is nowhere near beta material, but I was hoping for a resolution and thorough test. I guess the developer is on a legacy theme and doesn’t really care. If so clearly state that in the dox!

@abdhindi97 the VAT validation must update the cart and remove the TAX and that’s not happening.

Yes, I have added the tax rate. But please stop sending videos on the WooCommerce Classic Checkout and see the title of this support ticket as we are talking about the Block Based Checkout.

You are answering on the classic checkout but the problems are on the block based checkout.
