Block width isn’t an option with a staged site

Hi, I’m having a real nightmare with trying to update my site. I initially wanted to change the theme so I set up a staged site but I couldn’t get any of the blocks to change to wide width. I deactivated plugins etc that I found as advice on here. I gave up and deleted that first staged site and set up another but this time without changing the theme. I now have no option to change the width of blocks so they’re all sitting centred on the page rather than the wide width that I wanted.
Does anyone have any suggestions, it’s driving me mad. Thank you

Thank you. I’ll post there too but there doesn’t seem to be any activity over there. This is the page I’ve quickly tried again. It seems the blocks are within the cream coloured background – which isn’t showing in the editor. EDIT: I’ve tried with a few different themes, and the same thing is happening – I can’t get any blocks to go wide width. So I must be doing something wrong. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. I never had this much trouble building my previous site.
