Blocked country but still comment spam

    Hi,

    Wonderful plugin, I have added RU,CN,UA,UZ,MY,VN,ID,IN,MX to my block list but this morning I still see comment spam coming from UA Ukraine even though the statistic tells me that many have been blocked. What am I doing wrong here.

    Hi @birima,

    Sorry for your issue but this seems similar to “Blocking CN,RU but can still access”.

    How did you know that the spam came from UA? Or do you still keep it in your spam buffer? If your answer is yes, please scan its IP address on “Search” tab by using various APIs to get country code.

    Currently, I can only say that the accuracy of country code depends on the geolocation database and APIs.

    Thank you, I get it. Spam comments have reduced a lot anyway since installing your plugin. Those who slip through I have added in my htaccess deny list leaving the last digits thus blocking a whole range from a particuar isp.
