blocked login attempts from complex-user-name with the right user-name??

  • Hi support-forum,
    A very complex user-name (and the right one) is trying to login from different IP’s.
    I can’t understand why! The user-name is not to guessed.
    I also not give the username to any other person nore this user-name is outside of my computer for someone reachable.

    – How is it possible a such hard to guess username e.G. ?we-BSite-u-adMin-7924? is used for login-attemps from anyone else?

    The login-trials are blocked from the ?Limit Login Attepmts Reloaded?-Plugin. But there is still a strange feeling:
    – HOW IS IT POSSIBLE someone can find-out the right User-Name exactly like ?we-BSite-u-adMin-7924??

    – Where there could be a data-leak in WordPress?
    Also the Login-Page is not the default ?/wp-admin?. instead also a very hard to guess url like ?/what-is-4215-top-login?.

    Any idea, help or tips for more information about.
    – What could be wrong?
    – Why someone can find-out the inpossible-to-guess ?username? and hard-to-find-out ?url?.

    Would be great to get help.

  • bots have the ability to crawl through code and find all of your usernames and URL’s. You are better off focusing on strong passwords than unique usernames. This plugin will be a big help.

    Hi Martin,

    I don’t have such problems with my WordPress installations.

    Do you know the following plugin?

    Stop User Enumeration

    Try it out! Change your username by creating a new user, logging in with it and then deleting the old user (“we-BSite-u-adMin-7924”).

    Now you should have heavenly peace. ??
