    Hello,

I have been facing issues due to bad bots. We have added a list to block bad bots in htaccess but someone informed me that litespeed does not read/consider htacccess.

    Kindly guide

only if you are using OpenLiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Enterprise will read htaccess as Apache does

Oh, in that case kindly suggest an alternative. As most directives are from htaccess including redirects, etc. Please guide.

    You are using OLS?

and what’s your rule of blocking?

Yes, I am using OLS. Should I share the content of hta here?

you can carry it out over by report number , please go to Toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”, then share me the generated report number , it’s 8-letter upper case string

I forwarded your response to my web host – that we are using LSE, however, they are still claiming that it is OLS!!!

Are we missing some setting? We are using webuzo panel.

    Kindly guide
