I am getting daily registrations of users from a domain of @popdieta.pl
There have been over 2 dozen attempts to set up different users as registrants. I am going in daily and deleting them.
Is there a simple way block people from this email domain from registering on my site?
    Thanks

  • Hi @ps6818,

Currently, Wordfence does not have this feature. I’ve gone ahead and made another request for this feature to the team (Internal Ref: #873).

I’ve seen some plugins that can block email addresses, so you can try those ones out.

Thanks Dave. Are you able to recommend any of the plug ins?

There’s a plugin called Ban Hammer you can try. It pulls the blacklisted emails from native WordPress -> Settings.

    Hi Dave,

Bad Hammer hasnt been tested on my version but I have the latest wordpress version. Bad Hammer isnt activating. I have a similar problem with unwanted registrations from Email [email protected].

I see there is an IP address blocking option in wordfence. I just dont know which IP popdieta.pl is coming from as its not an email where I can check its header.

I’m having the same issue from users registering from that same domain. Any luck blocking their registrations?

    Hello

    I’m quite desperate…

I just discovered that 2 users from domain popdieta.pl have registered in the last days into my wordpress site, and besides of the hundreds of recent spams, i just saw that i’ve lost control of my wordpress installation, so when i enter into the dashboard, i can try to go to any place on the lateral menues, but the result is that i’m stuck in a blank page, which only shows:
the message that i can update wordpress.
    A strange message
    ?Atención!
The file /www/doc/www.example.com/www/wp-content/advanced-cache.php already exists. Please manually delete it before using this plugin.

I replaced the website name for example.com for security reasons.

Does anybody knows how to recover my website instalation? it seems that i cannot even restore it to my last backup

Any help will be wellcomed, and also a way to avoid such attacks in the future.

    Best Regards
    Jordi

Any progress on Wordfence adding this feature? I’m getting a ton of spammy subscribers from a series of related domains (chinatravel.network, singaporetravel.network, etc.) and I keep having to delete them by hand, which is a major pain. I’m really surprised WordFence doesn’t have this feature yet.

    I have the same interest!
