Does the free plugin still allow me to manually ban specific users by IP address? I’m looking at the “Ban Users” settings and it now only has a box for user agents, which won’t let me add IP addresses. If it’s still possible to manually block IP addresses, where are those settings now?

The functionality has moved to the Security > Dashboard -> Banned Users card.

@nlpro Ahh! I would not have figured that out myself, thank you.

To ban a range of IP addresses, I still need to use * as a wildcard, right? (Deny rules in .htaccess can just omit the final octet to catch a range, but iThemes Security used to require wildcards, e.g., ###.###.###.* or ###.###.*.*, and I’m assuming that’s still true.)

Yes, banning a range of IP addresses using one or more * (wildcards) is still supported. EG: On saving 123.123.123.* gets automatically converted to 123.123.123.0/24 CIDR notation format.

@nlpro – Okay, that seems to work! Thanks so much.
