When activating the block “checkout” in stead of using the shortcode [woocommerce_checkout] the redirection to the payment provider (Buckaroo) is skipped after clicking the pay button on the checkout page. The thank you page immediately shows up with the message that the order is received. In the backend it shows the order as paid!! I think this should never happen.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

This is happening with wp version 6.7.1 and Woocommerce version 9.5.2. Buckaroo states their plugin is compliant with blocks checkout.

    Hi @dvanrossum

Thanks for reaching out about the checkout issue you’re experiencing. While Buckaroo mentions their plugin is compliant with the blocks checkout, it’s possible there might be a conflict somewhere right after the update. On the other hand, since you mentioned that the thank you page immediately shows up, it can be a browser cache issue.

First, could you try to clear your browser cache and try to test the checkout process again? Sometimes, when updates happen, a quick browser cache refresh would make sure it isn’t serving outdated data.

Also, kindly check if all the other plugins and your theme are updated (backup your site for safety before pushing updates).

If the issue continues, we’d like to check the system status report to check for other angles or a possible conflict. You can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status, selecting Get system report, and then Copy for Support.

    Hi Reynier,

    Thanks for your swift response.

I did clear the site cache and browser cache. A lot of our users also experienced this behavior. We got many orders that supposedly were paid but were not actually paid. We then reversed the block checkout and cart.

All plugins are up-to date except Woocommerce. I don’t want to upgrade this before we know what needs to be fixed in the current version.

Where can I safely send the information requested?

    Best regards,

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

You can send the system report here so that the plugin support team can assist you. Additionally, you can create a staging website to update the WooCommerce plugin to the latest version and confirm if the Buckaroo payment gateway plugin is working correctly. It’s likely possible that it is fully compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce.

Give it a try, and let me know how that goes! ??

    Hi @dvanrossum,

You can share the report using the /code block here, using github or share it using https://pastebin.com
