Blocks Registration

  • same here. i’ve been trying to adjust settings in Better WP Security for the last hour trying to figure out what setting(s) are blocking registrations for my site. i also have to login twice just to get in as admin.

    ok i figured out what was causing it. go under the “Hide” tab and remove the check from “Enable Hide Backend” and of course save the changes. my double login went away and users can now register to my site.

    I am having the same problem with new registration being blocked. I am using WordPress 3.6 and Better WP Security 3.5.6 build 3063. Problem is that the register URL is being rewritten with the Better WP Security “hide backend key” regardless of the fact that “Enable Hide Backend” is NOT ENABLED. When not logged in as an Admin, I get wp-login.php?action=newuser?g5nlucjlvb4tp0kqkjtg5 which returns a “404 page not found” error.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    I figured out my problem. This is NOT a Better WP Security issue. I created a bad link that has the ?g5nlucjlvb4tp0kqkjtg5 added to the URL.
