If a block is placed on traffic from the United States, users from other territories are also blocked if they browse using Chrome’s mobile app with data saver turned on, I guess as it uses US infrastructure for data compression. It appears that way from the UK anyway.

The workaround is to browse in incognito mode, but the average user can’t be expected to work that one out.

Could something like ‘Do not block Chrome data compression processed through restricted territories’ be an option alongside the robots blocking option? No idea whether you’d still be able to block compressed visits from those territories, but not those originating from outside…

    Hi,

This is not possible as the traffics are originated from the compression server, and not the actual user.
