    Hi,

complianz adds a ‘manage consent’ button to the bottom of the page ‘after’ cookie consent has been given by the user.

Blocksy companion is confirmed to break the functionality of that button. It has a link embedded that the user can click to re-open the cookie-banner, but with the blocksy companion plugin enabled, that embed is half-broken, where only the very right edge of the link-text remains clickable; some kind of css misalignment or something…

The button works as should with the blocksy companion plugin disabled.

You can easily reproduce the issue by installing complianz and setting up the manage consent button, while having blocksy theme (with child theme) and companion plugin enabled.

See screenrecording added to see what happens with the button:

The website is not online yet, so that is going to be difficult. I guess I’ll just HAVE TO gonna use another theme then, because complianz themselves is not really helpful either. Everyone just wants to see the damned website, but it is NOT ONLINE yet. So I don’t know what else to do. Sry. I’ll just start looking for another theme then. This has been going on for weeks now.

    Hey @yhsh,
Sorry about that but without viewing your website I can’t really tell you what’s happening, this could be an issue from your side because we tried this plugin and everything works fine on our end.

In case your website is on localhost, maybe you could install the Local app and create a new localhost environment with it, install the WordPress, add Blocksy as a theme and install the Complianz plugin.

After this (if the issue is reproducing on your end), you will be able to share your localhost link by enabling this option from the Local app – and we will be able to investigate it.

    Waiting a reply from you.

Have you tried it with a child theme setup like I also have ??? Of course I am not using the theme straight out because of the constant updates…I use a child theme setup with blocksy.

Anyway, I have no idea what you mean with that setup but it sounds like a lot of work, and I already have plenty of it as is. check again but use a child theme please, and do so with these plugins also installed, just like I have :

Advanced Database Cleaner, Blocksy companion, Cloudflare, Complianz, Embedpress, Matomo Analytics, MaxButoons, PageSpeed Ninja, Sitemap by click5, Super socializer and under construction& maintenance mode by wpbrigade.

IF still you cannot see anything wrong, I’ll have to wait until the site is ready to go online, or either move to another theme and start from scratch. Or sell the domain and just be done with all of that crap alltogether. Grtz.
