Blog by Email using GMail?

Any update on this? It would be really nice if we could email blog through gmail ….

Okay, I fixed the problem. Had to write my own files, but at least I learned something in the process. You can grab them here.

I tried the solution at https://www.audiolicious.com/weblog/2005/03/wordpress-gmail-mobile-blogging/, but am getting an error! Any ideas?

You HAVE to have:
IMAP compiled with SSL support
PHP compiled with IMAP support

Try this as a test:
% php -r ‘$m = imapopen(a€?{pop.gmail.com:995/pop3/ssl/novalidate-cert}INBOXa€?, a€?[your.email]@gmail.coma€?, a€?[your password]a€?); vardump($m);a€?

and you should get

resource(4) of type (imap)

If you see

bool(false) you either lack IMAP support, or your IMAP library was not compiled with SSL support

I just installed Postie from https://www.economysizegeek.com/wp-mail/ It included options for pop3s. So far, it works so freaking well it’s scary.
