Blog by email with SSL(Port 465)

  • Hi All- Sorry if I missed something but I did search for a while and didn’t find a direct answer. I am trying to set-up the blog-via-email feature and specifically with a pop3 server that requires SSL. I need to have the pop3 request go over port 465 but it appears that when I set it up with a comcast acct(my ISP) it times out as seen other places, and if I try it with gmail it just dies(also seen on other posts). Does anyone know if this is even supposed to work? If not then just give me a definite answer and I’ll stop posting. Otherwise any tips would be appreciated.
