Blog excerpts don`t work

That with read more tag in the text is not working for me. That messes the things up with featured image, too. It doubles it.

If the More tag isn’t working for you I can suggest two alternatives:

1 – You could use a plugin, like: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-custom-auto-excerpt/

2 – You could create a child theme with some code tweaks. Child theme means your changes won’t be overwritten when you update the theme. If you’re new to child themes, you can explore these guides:

You wont believe, but it wasnt working because of the plugin Yoast SEO. I don`t know the connection, but it was easiest for me to delete that plugin. Now, everything works fine.

However, that with the child theme sounds interesting. Did I understood you right: when I update WP to new version, with a child theme nothing will be overwritten, right?

Because, the last time I updated it, I had to change a lot about the page.
