Blog Featured Image Not Showing Up

  • Hi All! I am a newbie in WordPress, so I am really hoping you can help me out with my problem.

    I have used this theme for my blog site. I have set the site in a way that:

    1) All recent blog post will be shown at the homepage
    2) All blog posts will be shown at the category page

    I tried to post one blog: To All The Mothers Who Made Our House Spotless Clean

    As per my setting, I am expecting the blog post to appear in homepage and category page which is Family. Now, the problem is, for both pages, I can see that the link is there but not the featured image. I have asked some people to look at the site, some sees it, some don’t.

    So far, I have tried the following:

    -Clear the browser’s cache
    -Purge cache
    -deactivate/activate all plug-ins
    -deactivate/activate Photon in Jetpack
    -Update PHP version

    I will appreciate any assistance.

  • It is showing for me but I am getting non-Photon image loading.
    Photon can be troublesome unless you’re an expert.
    Also, looking at Network in the Developer Tools, scripts are timing out or taking a long time to load – this would result in image not loading sometimes.
    Your hosting is not up to it by the looks of it and some scripts are problematic – tiny files (global.css – 1.2KB) are taking over a minute to load which would indicate that there are not enough Entry Processes in your hosting account to handle so many requests at once…

    @whitsey How can I fix the photon? I am really sorry for bothering you about this but I just don’t know how to fix it.

    actually, it’s a background image and I dont think photon handles background images so that might be a bum steer.
    I would guess it is your hosting that is not capable of handling wordpress.
