• Hi,

I installed this plugin and followed the included instructions.

    However, the page it is on has this warning at top;

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/grantsmcom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/blog-in-blog/blog-in-blog.php on line 268

It also displays posts from the wrong category?

  • Howdy Tim,

I appreciate the quick turnaround on the new update for the plugin, but it still does not seem to be working. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you troubleshoot this.

    Hi Crazyuncleivan and carrotcake
If you drop me a line with some more info – plus example site where it is not working, or screenshots etc, and I will try to help out.

You can find contact details at timhodson.com
    Thanks.

    Howdy Tim,

Thank you again for the second to latest version of blog-in-blog which seemed to fix the issue perfectly.

However, the newest release of blog-in-blog now seems to strip all the formatting out of the blog posts on the “category only pages” So the posts look fine on the main page, if you let them show up on the main page, but on their singular pages the posts show up without their formating AND with any formatting tags showing in the post.

    Thanks for the help.

    Howdy Tim,

Thank you for the quick turn around on the latest update. Unfortunately though, the plugin doesn’t seem to be working anymore. It doesn’t error out the pages like it did before. Now the pages show up fine but none of the posts are shown. So the Blog-in-Blog pages are just blank template pages.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi crazyuncleivan,
    Several steps ??

    1. Can you try just blog-in-blog with the default kubrick theme? Does it work then?
    2. If it does add your theme back in: does it work then?
    3. If it does, then add each plugin you use and after adding each one test until we find which one is not playing happily.
    4. Then, final step to confirm which plugin is misbehaving, un-install all other plugins except the suspect and blog-in-blog. does it still fail?
    5. Finally, let me know what combination of plugins and theme failed and I can try and reproduce/fix on my dev server.

      Thanks
      Tim

I love this plugin – it works perfectly in firefox, but the text format is lost in explorer and safari only displays a single line of the post, as if there is no carriage returns. Anyone else experience these problems? Thanks.

I am experiencing the same problems where it works with firefox, but not with IE. Would like to know what I can do to make it work.

I am also experiencing the formatting issues. Firefox works, IE and Safari have issues. Any ideas?

I think I figured out the formatting issue. Go to the page(s) where you put in the blog-in-blog short code. Switch over to the html view. You should see the short code surrounded by an html tag that looks something like this “”

Delete this tag (both before and behind it). The short code on the html should look like it does on the visual side. That should do the trick. It corrects the formatting issues in Safari and IE and keeps the formatting for FireFox. I’m not very well versed in html, so I can’t say why it works, but seems to work great. Good luck!
