At the beginning of this year I successfully installed WordPress to run my blog at https://www.journeyof1000miles.org and was able to successfully configure it with the “Cutline 3 Column Theme” everything was running correctly for 2 weeks. My posts and comments were all showing up successfully, I could use the admin panel etc.

This weekend for some reason I started to receive Internal Server Errors when trying to access the site. I sent a message to my hosting company and today it appears as though wordpress is running but its not connecting to the database so none of the posts is appearing and the admin panel doesn’t recognize my login information.

I checked the database and it appears to be running correctly, I can view the tables and see the data is there. I also rechecked the config.php file and that is still correct.

I’m still quite a newbie and frankly I’m stumped. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

I heard back from my hosting company finally and the site appears to be workign now. The support person said that my config.php was corrupt and that they restored from a back up and now its running good.
