My blog does not load at all on any browser. I’ve changed nothing from yesterday or weeks before when it loaded fine.

I suspect that the problem may be a bit of ad script I have in the footer (shows video from another site.) Even though it didn’t give me problems in the past, I wanted to log in and get rid of it anyway. In my dashboard and editor, I’m not able to access my widgets at all. The widgets section was where I was previously able to access my footer. (Again, all of this was fine days ago.)

So yea, I can’t edit widgets in the editor (they don’t even show up– the column on the right side of the interface– totally blank.) And the blog does not load at all in any browser. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this is related– but how could I finally get in there and remove that footer code without my widget editor?

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

thanks but the problem just resolved itself. No idea what happened, but I deleted that code outta my footer just to be safe.
