Blog on homepage

    Hello,
    Ive just starting using the Enigma theme 1.7.2.
    I want to ‘switch off’ the front page altogether and only show the blog as the homepage. But there is no option for this under ‘Theme Options’. Also I can’t find no option on the ‘options-reset.php’. On other blog templates there is usually options like: ‘front_page’ => ‘on’, to disable the featured front page.
    (the ‘Customize > static front page’ to ‘a static page’, option to show the blog, doesn’t support description and keywords with other seo plugins, so this isn’t ideal)

    Can you please tell me how this is done?
    Im sure many other everyday bloggers would want to have blog homepages as well.

    Go to Theme-Options -> GENERAL-Settings , There is an Option to SHOW HOME page , Or your BLOGS on HOME PAGE.

    Hello Weblizar,

    There seemed to be an update to the theme and a bug has caused issues with the home page. I checked my site today and it’s not showing the homepage with the sliding images and the portfolio options like it was the other day. I have tried to do your theme-options-> General Settings and it doesn’t work. It keeps showing another page that I didn’t even know existed.

    The new update with the option has done the trick.
    Many Thanks for your time and effort, and I will seriously consider using your themes with my other blogs!

    This fixed the Home page issue but now the blog is gone.

    Weblizar – please pay attention. The latest update broke the homepage and none of your normal suggestions are working. Please investigate the issue and fix ASAP.

    @weblizar this fix you keep referring to doesn’t work. If you were on 1.7 version and had a blog this will completely screw up your site. my site is https://www.headwindcycling.com. Go there and check out the blog. It isn’t showing up on version 1.8. The Refer this fix fof the Home Page problem is great for the home page but it causes the blog to disappear. This is extremely frustrating and especially because you are the author of the theme and haven’t figured this out yet.

    Plainly put if you upgraded to 1.8 version your home page got screwed up. If you use the fix you keep referring to it removes your blog (if you had one in 1.7). Do you understand the problem? I haven’t seen you address this yet.

    @mike : your site is set with a custom front – page?

    Please confirm this.. Our many users got the solution for the same problem.
