• Hi
I have created a website with the blog page separate to the home page. I’ve designed a nice blog page (link included) and placed Elementor post elements on there to display my posts. When I go to Settings – Reading – Your homepage displays – A Static Page – Homepage = Home and Posts page = Blog & Recipes (the name of my posts page), this page does not appear and instead defaults to a list of my posts in the default theme design instead of the nice blog page that I’ve created.

If I go back to Settings – Reading – Your Homepage displays – A Static Page – Homepage = Home and Posts page = select (blank), then my Blog & Recipes page reappears with my posts on it laid out as I want them.

Anyone got any idea why this would happen as I think its affecting mailchimps ability to recognise my posts feed.

  • Hi geroido,

Can you try selecting the Homepage dropdown “Blog & Recipes” and Posts page dropdown to “–Select–” (Blank) and see what happens?

If that didn’t work then this might be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

    Hi,

I’m having the same issue for some time now. I have:

    – WordPress version 5.9.1
_ WordPress Theme: Vikinger – BuddyPress Social Community ChildVersión: 1.0.0

I deactivated and activated ALL my plugins (One by one) and the problem still persists.
I created numerous BLOG pages (one at a time) and the problem still persists.
I re-installed (also uploaded the files via FTP) the WordPress files and the problem still persists.
I re-installed (also uploaded the files via FTP) the WordPress files and the problem still persists.

This is how I fix temporarily the problem:
I need to go to WordPress Admin Panel –> Settings –> Permalink –> Save Changes (Without making any changes)

    Or

I need to go to “Appearance” and switch themes back and forth – Problem solve (temporarily)

This is happening once or twice per day or sometimes 3 to 5 times per week. I need to constantly keep checking if my BLOG page is up and running.
