Blog page images, articles, excerpt not even

Hi,
I have been working hard to figure out why my articles, images, excerpts are not aligned on the blog page. At first I thought it was the images being of different sizes but have since tried sizing some of them to 900 x 600 pixel. But it looks like I still have the same problem.

Also my last post which is the first shown on the page is always set lower than the one beside it.

Any suggestions would be great.
