Blog Page Isn’t Working in Elementor

I’m a little confused about the settings of this website in particular. The theme that we use is Blank Canvas. 

I’m trying to create a blog page for our website. When I create the page, the page has the same settings/background as the other pages we have. I’m also able to edit with Elementor, as shown on the top. 

However, when I go into Settings → Reading, and set the blog page as a posts page, the page turns white, and the “Edit with Elementor” option is not at the top anymore. 

So, I decided to turn it back into a regular page, edit it with Elementor, and then add a “posts” widget to display the blog posts. However, the formatting is still off and when you click on the post it takes you to a white page. 

I’ve been at this for a couple weeks now, and I’m pretty stumped. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
