• I created only one post and a blog page. I thought the latter will show the post but it didn’t. Instead, when I click on the Blog page, it shows the Home page.

I have followed all the instructions such as making the blog page a static one, and cleared the cache. I even created a template for the blog page but I think this is ignored by the website. I don’t know what else to do, and would appreciate your advice.

    Thank you
    Khalil

  • Please go to Settings > Reading page
there you’ll find the option to choose homepage and blog page, make sure both correct and different pages as you need separate blog page.

Then go to Settings > Permalink and re-save the settings then check if it solves the issue.

If not then I am seeing that you have a customized theme, So maybe you ask the developer if he has done changes in template files that can cause such behavior.

    Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately it is not working. I’ll keep trying.

The classes are missing on the body tag, otherwise, I could have identified the page as active as blog or home.

Thank you again. Please note that I am not an expert, and would appreciate it if you can explain what do you mean by classes or how to fix it?

by classes, I meant CSS classes that are generally displayed in HTML body tag. as I have found, your theme has been customized by another developer so I think he/she removed that code that adds CSS classes in the body tag.

If you are in touch with the developer who customized your theme, Please ask him to resolve this issue.
