Blog page previous/next buttons showing all categories

    Hi,

    On this website, I have a Blog and Press page, both of which are posts with a relevant category. I use your plugin to display the Blog post categories on the Blog page and the Press post categories on the press page.

    Everything works fine, except for when, for example, you click through from the Blog homepage to a particular blog post. Whilst the shortcode I used does specify the ‘Blog’ category of post, the previous/next buttons on any given blog page ignore that category. They include all posts, whether they are of the Blog category or Press category, which is what I don’t want to happen.

    This is the shortcode I have used for the Blog page:

    [bdp_masonry design="design-2" effect="effect-2" show_author="false" show_tags="false" show_comments="false" show_category="false" limit="-1" category="Blog"]

    Please can you advise me how I can make sure the previous/next buttons on the Blog page only move to posts with the Blog category, ignoring the Press category?

    Thanks for the detailed response.

    I think you are talking about the blog single page https://rocketgirlcoaching.com/blog/regrets-are-so-yesterday/ right?

    If above is the case then single blog / post page are not handled by the plugin. It totally depends on your theme and handled by it.

    You can ask to your theme author about this OR you can create the child theme and customize parent theme blog single page.

    Hi there

    Thanks for the reply. You’re right, it is about a specific blog page, rather than the home page, where your shortcode is used. I have asked the theme developer now, so I will see what they say.
