Blog Permalink Structure vs Property Permalinks

Hi,

We’re having trouble setting up our permalink structure. The permalink structure for our blog conflicts with our property permalinks (we use a real estate theme) and it appears that the property pages are post-based, which might be the reason why.

Ideal permalink structure for our blog: website.com/blog/%category%/%postname%
The problem is that when I save these permalink settings, the property permalinks are affected: website.com/blog/%propertytype%
/blog/ doesn’t belong in the property permalink structure.

Does this mean that we would have to ask the theme developers to change property pages from post-based to page-based so it doesn’t conflict with our blog? I imagine that would be a lot of work.
Or is there another solution?
