Blog Post – Next Level Mustache

  • Hello there!

    I am trying to duplicate a sample blog post design “Next Level Mustache”.
    1) Can we duplicate a blog post?
    2) In the sample blog post, “next level mustache” there is an image “Banksy Godard” (I could not download/import any of the sample images BTW). Anyways, this image takes the entire space but, on edit pencil, one can only edit the title and links not the image itself. How can one incorporate such a large image into the post? I tried the multimedia, and even with the sizing of my images I do not get the same screen as I do with the Bansky Godard image… I can do with the galery and videos, but not this one. Thanks for the help.

    you can use a third party plugin to duplicate posts! Use any popular one from this list https://www.www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/post+duplicator/

    Sample images are not redistributed due to copyright restricts from their owners. You will have to replace them with your images.

    Now when adding an image inside your content make sure to use the correct image size in “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” in the media manager (https://prnt.sc/iy4fid).

    ?? Nope… this does not help ??
    I am actually using 1110X600px otherwise the featured images cannot be used in the slider.
    Promblem #2. I don’t care I cannot upload the redistributed images. What matters is that the sample post shows a field that supposed is of an image and one cannot upload our own, like we can on the field galary. It would be neat to have such a full-size field on the image.
    Thanks for the plugins. Will check those in the end. I get a feeling the site will be heavy and loading very slowly… What is your take on this?
    What about using the plugins to optimize the images, even if they are large enough to fill out the slider?

    Hi there,
    Olsen Light uses the Featured image (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-featured-image-or-post-thumbnails-in-wordpress/) in order to add feautured image. But this does not apply for images inside the post itself. In which you can just add a media item from the editor at any point.

    I suggest having a look here https://www.wpbeginner.com/wordpress-performance-speed/ on speeding up your installation.
    Finally, Remember that any larger file that 1110×600 will be cropped to be exactly in these dimensions, but if smaller it will leave a larger gap in your slider area.
