I have been using the plugin mainly to order some posts of a custom type (“features” in the Pagelines framework theme). Today, I inadvertently reordered my blog posts (I moved 1 post 1 position) and now the order in which my blog posts are shown on the front page is completely messed up. Entries from way back (2005) are showing up among the latest 10 posts.

Does anyone with an understanding of how this plugin works know how to undo this? I basically just need to remove the entry/entries in the database that the plugin is using to reorder my blog posts.

    Thanks.

You can try to turn the Autosort OFF, this way only the queries containing the menu_order will be re-ordered.
    Hope it helps.

I did that immediately and the blog post order was back to “normal”. However, now my custom posts are unordered.

Is my reordering the blog posts irreversible?

I would like to keep using the plugin without having to add/change any code. But I need the order of my blog posts to remain as it was (i.e. chronological).

Okay, I solved this by simply reverting menu_order to 0 for all my blog posts. Now I can keep Autosort ON and keep my old, chronological sort order.
