• I have an artist’s WordPress site . It uses the Portfolio Press theme. For some reason my new posts are not being displayed. There is only an icon to go to the post. If you click on the menu item called “Ink” you can see how it should be working and if you cick on the item called “another” you will see what is happening for all new categories. I have checked settings, and cleared caches, etc. in WordPress and the browser. Suggestions?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • You are using a theme that was last updated in 2018: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/portfolio-press/

Nevertheless, I see some modern block editor components in the view that you consider to be correct. Therefore, I am unsure what exactly you changed in the theme to achieve this view there. In a local test, I could only display a list of posts – as text, not with images. And without blocks.

Therefore, it is difficult to help you with this. My guess is that you created your own template (probably as a file) for the correctly displayed category. Just like people used to do.

You can of course also contact the theme’s support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/portfolio-press/ – although I don’t know if anyone is still active there after 6 years.

Otherwise, you can of course also use a new theme. I think with the current TwentyTwentyFour you should be able to recreate this view.

Thank you for looking at this! I know…it’s old. The site was actually migrated over from another artist portfolio theme I used starting in 2010. The sad thing is that everything was working the way I wanted yesterday, and then it just stopped on one category and any new ones! I can do a workaround using pages instead of posts but ultimately I think I need to redo with a new theme.
