• I have the option to create blog posts in the WordPress theme I’m using. In the posts section, it’s very easy to create. It has fields for title, subtitle, body text, links, featured images, etc. But the problem I’m having is this.

When I first create it, WordPress will populate the new blog post to my main page/feed. It uses the first part of the body text as the preview. But once I publish it. It’s stuck. If I got back and edit that same body text, the blog preview in the feed stays the same. And I need this to where it can be updated and not stuck to the very first thing that is published.

How can I do this, and edit what the blog preview text looks like, after it’s been published?

EDIT: here is a screenshot of the preview text I mean

    Hey there,

This part you mentioned is controlled by the ‘Excerpt’, or am I wrong? Screenshot: https://snipboard.io/WsU1mi.jpg

Which theme are you using? If you’re stuck, I suggest that you ask for help directly in their support page.

Yup, that was the problem. I was looking for that exact thing but couldn’t find it. But when you said that, it flashed in my head that it might be hidden because it wasn’t checked in the screen settings options of wordpress. sure enough. that was it!
