blog post slider is not appearing

    i am using the plugins
    Youtube vide, wp user plus, jetpack

    i have 1 featured image post and rest of 8 youtube post,
    the blog posts slider does not show up,

    apart from the blog setting, where we select a featured category to be show on the slider with posts, is there any other place, we have control.

    is it due to the plugins, i am not able to get the slider ?

    slider with posts, on the blog front page does not appear
