• This is so basic, I’m almost ashamed to ask, but I’m having problems getting my images and text in a post to behave.

I’m creating a post which is a craft tutorial and it needs to be formatted with an image with a line or two of text above for each stage of the process. I want the text and images left-aligned, one below the other.
It looks fine on the backend on the laptop but the text isn’t working with the images, with large spaces between it and the image above. The spaces get bigger as you go down the page. I’ve edited, re-edited and edited again, but it won’t behave. Then, looking at it on a phone, it’s even worse. I’ve cleared caches in the browser and the cache plugin multiple times, but I can’t get it to look right.
Should I perhaps use a table for this? I don’t know if that would work on mobile. I have no idea what else to do – help please!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Yes, I see spaces and other unusual looking stuff in the source code.

    A few ideas:
-Are you copying text from another document?
-Wonder if theme or plugin is adding extra format?
-Are you able to temporarily try a different theme?
-Can you temporarily disable all plugins?
-Are you able to contact the theme creator?
-What are the available alignment settings for your images?
-Are you using something like a page builder?
-You could try table formatting but on mobile you might have some challenges

Thanks for getting back. Actually, I did copy the text from the original PDF that I put together, as I originally intended this for an ebook. I didn’t think that the original formatting might interfere, especially as it looks fine on the backend.
I’ll go through and remove the excess code and see if that helps. If not, I’ve got about 3 months-worth of ideas to try!! Many thanks.
