    Hello,

I have a combination static content website with a blog section. The problem: When I publish a blog post, it shows up in the sidebar as a recent post, but the sidebar link doesn’t work. All the sidebar post links appear as “https://my-site.com/name.”

Is there a way to assign a discreet link for the post? The site is still in a testing mode as I am designing and building features. Obviously, I have missed a step somewhere.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    John

  • How do the posts get to the sidebar?

Is it a plugin? A widget? Custom code?
We would need to know the mechanism to be able to help some. If it’s custom code, feel free to drop the code in a pastebin and report the link back

    Sidebar widget “Recent Posts”

Well, my-site.com/name would be the proper links in that widget, if you are, in fact, usign post_name as your permalinks setup

    Is that not the case?

How is the widget failing? Does the permalink structure not match your settings? The links don’t point to the post? Are you getting 404’d?

I changed the Permalink structure and it is now working.

    Thank you.

    Good to hear!
