Blog Posts not showing up in Google Search

  • Hi everyone,

    I’ve had my website running for about 6 weeks now and have come up with an issue. My website pages such as Home, about, contact, etc all come up in google search, along with my overall blog page. However, if I search for a specific blog post, these never come up in google search. They are all indexed when I check the google search console, so I don’t know why this is happening?

    This is frustrating as I want my blog content to be seen which isn’t happening. I’ve tried using a specific blog page title, or content from the blog page in google, and it doesn’t come up as displaying the specific blog page.

    Any ideas? I’m using Yoast SEO plugin and my website is https://www.vinylchapters.com

    Goes GWT say your pages / posts have been crawled and indexed? Try the “fetch as Google” button and have it index your site again.

    Hi sterndata, thanks for replying. Yes, GWT says about half of my pages have been crawled and indexed, and when I check the site map file it shows 5 out of 6 posts have been crawled and indexed.

    I’ve already fetched a post as google to see if this works, but it hasn’t yet.

    One post seems to be displaying if I type in some of the content from the post – the one entitled ‘Vinyl Chapters: The Start Of Your Stories Behind The Music’, but none of the other posts come up at all!
