I am completely new to the world of blogging, so please bear with me if this is a dumb question. My site is an online retail site and the blog is secondary to that, so I set it up on a different page instead of the home page.

I have tried to post several blog entries and they all end up so weird looking I take them down.

My ‘vision’ of our blog page originally was a gallery of different sized photos that a viewer could click on that would then bring up whatever text was associated with that picture. So, in essence, when you click on the page designated for our blog, you only see images in sort of a ‘wall paper’ format.

I was told that this isn’t really do-able in Customizr, so my next ‘vision’ was to just having a standard running blog where each entry featured a large picture at the top, followed by the entire body of associated text. Then below that post, another one formatted the same way, and so on. No need to click and be redirected – you can just read at will by scrolling down through posts.

When I make a post, however, the best I am getting when I click on my designated blog page is a headline with the first few sentences of the post, and the picture is formatted like the ones on the home page – with a circle-frame around it. If I click on the headline, a new page pops up that shows the photo without the circle frame, along with the headline and full text.

Does it have to be this way? I would prefer that readers not have to click each post and wait on another page to pop up before they can read the whole thing, and I really am not a fan of the photo on the main page being encased by the round frame.

    Thank you!

  • The only way I know to approach what you want is to check the WP Settings>Reading. For each article in a Feed should be Full Text, not Summary.

If your Posts are too long then I found the Summary wasa better solution.

Thanks – I have it set to full text already, and the post isn’t long at all. I love everything about my site except the blog. =(
