blog sidebar

  • I am using twenty seventeen for one of my sites. Under widgets, there is an area called “blog sidebar”. If I add widgets to that, they don’t show up anywhere.

    So what is “blog sidebar” and what makes it show up or where does it show up? I am a little new to WordPress and I am not using my site as blog. I really only want widgets to show up on certain pages and I see there are plugins for that. But I would like to understand what is going on with the “blog sidebar”
