• Since a few days my blog has not been loading. I have no idea what’s wrong. This is the error I get when I visit it: “Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

    My blog URL is https://www.simran.in/blog

    Please help me out.

  • try 2 contact your hosting company , maybe they missconfigured something …

A 500 error (“internal server error”) is a generic error which is displayed when the actual error has happened internally (inside the server) and cannot be displayed in your browser. The real error is saved in your server error log. So, you will have to check their or ask your hosting provider what caused the error.

WordPress itself is not throwing the error. You’ll definitely need to contact your hosting company.

OK, thanks a lot for the advice. I’ll just contact my hosting provider.

I’ve checked it again and some other sites on my server are loading. (eg. simran.in/yoga). The blog still won’t load (/blog) and my e-mail isn’t downloading either! I’ve e-mailed the hosting company, hopefully they’ll be of some help.

Argh. Now my e-mail is downloading again, but the blog remains down. I hate this!

i got that on my blog
turns out the .htacsess thingi was wrong
i deleted it en made an new 1 then it worked fine again ??

    Simran,

You should check the ownership and permission of the blog directory. Seems like something is wrong with the permission coz if mysql was down then the error you would have got would have been different.

This error is due to wrong permission on your blog directory or public_html

OK, /blog is set to 777 and public_html is set to 750. I don’t think I changed permissions, but it’s possible that I might have done so by mistake.
