Blog summary image

    Hello.

    I’m having a problem with the blog summary on my posts page and on my recent post section on my front page. For some reason the blog posts summary display a landscape image even though I’ve set all the options to “portrait image”.

    This is really irritating and I’d be really glad if someone could help me find the problem. (I also changed the option to “portrait image” in the single post).

    Hey,
    Both the front and the blog page are using the grid format, And with that the images will always default to being over the post title and excerpt.

    You would have to use a normal blog layout like this: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle/our-blog/ to have the “portrait” effect like that last post on the page.

    The layout with the image on top of the post title and excerpt doesn’t bother me – I’d just like the image to be portrait instead of landscape. Is this possible?

    Hey,
    So in terms of image ratio that isn’t an option to set a ratio.. But you can turn off the theme hard crop for excerpt images then it would use whatever ratio you uploaded the images at.

    Go to appearance> Theme options > blog options > scroll down to the Hard Crop excerpt images to the same height and turn that off.
