Blog Thumbnail Pixel Size / Page Speed
-
Hello
I like the way blog posts are presented by this theme (and with the settings I’ve chosen, apart from the opacity but that is a different question) but it seems the thumbnail is generated from the featured image of the post without sizing it significantly smaller.
Now for me, on desktop, with a good internet connection, and with not a lot of traffic to the site (server resources), that is not really a problem. But with increased traffic, and for people with slower internet speeds, it will become an issue. Both because thumbnails in the post overview will take a long time to load for people with slower internet speeds, and because of the resulting bandwidth.
So, is it possible to (automatically!) resize the featured images to something like 500px width for thumbnails, to reduce the file size? The media settings in WP seem to not have any effect on this.
Thanks and have a great day ??
