Blog vs. Website
-
Hello,
I’m the rankest beginner at WP, so please be gentle. I’m willing to RTI, but I’m still puzzling over the instructions.
I do know a bit about HTML and CSS. My ISP has set up a WP template for me. I rolled my own website years ago with a simple HTML editor. It now looks old and clunky. I want to move the content to a crisp but uncomplicated new WP-based site. After getting that online, I want to add some new pages, content and menu items.
So, I can look at my dummy WP site, and I figured out how to access /wp-admin/
I guess the next step is to choose a suitable template, customize it a bit, then add extra pages, and so on.
At the moment, I have the vague notion that WP is equally suitable for designing web sites or blogs. Is this correct?
If so, are some templates better suited for blogs, others better suited for websites? If yes, how do I find one or the other?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
