Blog within a blog

    Hi,

    We have a food blog now called livelovepasta. I am looking to get all my photos I have organized of traveling etc… and put them on my own page/blog within livelovepasta. I want to know what would be the best way.

    I’m not sure the best route, whenever I add new stuff I only want it to appear in my section, not the main food blog page. But I do want a tab to it in our custom menu bar.

    I want to be able to have it organized by like city or subject so that I can send it off to potential customers if they would like to book me as a photographer. I do not want to pay for another domain, I want to just add onto this existing one and when I have free time just add to my own photography section with my pics. Also, I would prefer it to just be simple with no side bar, and not even share the same backround image or header, all white would be fine with my own header or featured image.

    You could probably get pretty crazy with categories and sub categories but it might be best to simply install a separate blog (separate instance of WordPress) in a folder on that same domain. If you were to do this you could basically create a separate photography site from the food site, use a different theme if you like etc without having to buy a new domain. You could easily move between the two by adding each the other’s menu.

    FatLabllc: Which option in the link you provided would apply to what we want to do?

    ?Moving a Root install to its own directory
    ?Using a pre-existing subdirectory install
    ?Pointing your home site’s URL to a subdirectory

    Also, thanks for you’re response. This would be exactly what I would want to do. Would the “home” address to my blog be https://www.livelovepasta.com/photoblog ?
