  • IE can have display problems if you copy and paste text from Microsoft Office applications like MS Word. This copied text contains buggy, non-browser friendly code.

so should i use something like notepad? and would this also explain why the sidebar is not showing?

Yes. Repaste the text using notepad.

Maybe. After you’ve cleaned up the Word problems, validate your code to see if you have any errors like unclosed div tags that can mess up display.

Plus, don’t forget IE7 is not fully web compliant.
IE8 (Beta) is available now, check your site using it.

Unner da bordwok, down bye the ceeee!

My blog is working fine in Firefox but in IE it only shows two posts and nothing in my sidebar. I have not made any changes and am at a loss as to what to do. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks so much!

Cindy: You have the same pasting from MS Word problem. Either remove the bad code (the stuff with mso in it) or repaste your text from a text editor like notepad. I spotted the bad MS Word code in your “Spooky Cookies” post, so start there.

Hi, my site is facing the same problem as the other people in this thread… works fine in FF but not in IE7.

I don’t think I have a problem with MS Word code as the blog is almost completely empty except for some test posts…

Here’s a screen shot of the problem in IE7:

    Thx!
