Blog2Social recognises but can’t auto-post custom post type

  • Hi there, we’re using Blog2Social with the STM Motors theme, and we stumbled upon Blog2Social as a way to automatically share our users’ posts on our Facebook page when they submit a car listing.

    So far, Auto-post seems to work just fine and as scheduled on a normal “post” or “page” submission; it’ll immediately share it to our test group.

    Problem is, while I can manually share the “listing” type posts to Facebook via the Blog2Social interface, auto-posting doesn’t seem to pick them up at all.

    Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance

    Minor update: It seems to have something to do with how the posts are being submitted? Our users submit and edit their cars in the frontend of the site, but these aren’t picked up as edits/submits and shared automatically. However, if I try to edit the car in our admin backend, that works just fine.
