Blogger to WordPress POST import problem

  • I hate being beaten by a computer…anyway, I followed all instructions in the wiki to import my blog from blogger to WordPress. I see my posts in the /wordpress folder in the following places:
    1. Archives = 2001_05_01_archive.php, etc
    2. New folder called ‘2004.’ In here are subfolders with month names, i.e. ’05’, ’06’ with .html pages of posts.
    My problem — I cannot get any of these to appear in my blog. It appears the import worked, and I republished my blog, but no go. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Do you mean to say that you have a file called 2001_05_01_archive.php in the wordpress folder?
    Do you have all those new .html files and the new folders too?
    I beleive that is not expected behavior.
    WordPress posts and archives and everything related to posts are stored in the database, and not as physical files on the server.

    I removed everything & republished. I now have the 2001_05_01.php type files, plus wordpress.php in my https://ftp.teebubble.com folder (and no html’s). When I ran the import-blogger script, the files look like they were copied to my /wordpress directory. They are still not showing up. Any suggestions, anyone??
