blogposts: no pictures, 2 columns, continued

Dear Kadence Team!
One more question – sorry to keep on bothering you!

First, I believe the Virtue theme allows to disply the blog posts in two columns, right? Where would I set the settings for this?

Second, now that I have changed the background settings to box shaped the posts in my blog do not show a picture although there is one added as post picture and the picture is also added to the Text section of the post. Only when clicking on the “…continued” the full post view has the picture(s). I would like to see the posts on the blog page with pictures, too.

Third, each post ends with “…continued” and the vistor needs to click therupon to see the full post although mostly it is just one line missing. How can I adjust the settings for longer text in the blog excerpts?
