Blogroll in WordPress 2.3

  • Is there a way that the new WordPress versions can incorporate the old way of managing links and link categories? I miss being able to configue how the links will be displayed in the sidebar. The “Blogroll” section is too limited as far as editing and setting up preferences.

    No, the blogroll display options have been moved into the call to wp_list_bookmarks() and such, which are in the theme or in widgets. This is to make sure that presentation is located in one place: The theme. It’s more consistent this way.

    Admittedly, the default widgets need some customization options added.
