Blogroll not showing in upgrade from 2.3.2 to 2.7.1

I am in the process of upgrading WP from 2.3 to 2.7. To manage that, I’ve set up a site locally to test the upgrade before upgrading on my live site.

The wp-content folders are identical for both sites, but on my local version (running 2.7), my blogroll links (and even the default links from WP in the blogroll) are not showing up.

In the 2.3 site, my blogroll links were assigned to a category, and the categories appeared via <?php wp_list_cats(); ?> in the sidebar.php

In the 2.7 site, the blogroll links are also assigned to a category, and even though my other categories are appearing, my blogroll is not.

sidebar.php is the same for both sites…
