• Greetings,

BlogrunN is a new blog hosting service powered by SQL- and PHP-based blogging tools i.e. WordPress. It is aimed to enable truly inspired individuals who just love to blog. The service is free of charge and 100% ad-free. However, we only offer blog hosting through invitation to keep it out of spammy blogs that would put the fund to waste.

BlogrunN is best for experienced bloggers who are trying to do more with their weblogs and for those who want blog for specific purposes i.e. photography blog, webzine, group blog, podcasting, etc. It is Flickr-integrated and podcasting-enabled. There are a lot of things one can do with a weblog on BlogrunN by using the plugins. Users can also change the look and feel of the weblog by customizing the stylesheets and by uploading new themes.

    Check it out, now!

Invitations for the month of October is being given away! Request for an invite now!

Blog (Free of charge + ad-free + freedom) = BlogrunN

I’d move the “Request an Invite” link closer to the top of the page. I didn’t see it at first. Looks very cool ??

thenewsguy101, thanks for the suggestion. But I still like it to be that way. by the way, have you requested for an invitation yet?

From the updates blog, here are the things u cant do with blogrunn:

    1. You can’t upload anything to the server but you can post images from a postbar that retrieves all your Flickr images and set up a Flickr photo album within your blog.

    2. Except for the stylesheets of all themes your can’t edit any file on the server but you can upload themes and plugins you’d like to use on your blog provided that the theme or plugin is reviewed and passed by us.

    3. You cannot automagically revert edited theme stylesheet file to its original state but can always google for it, copy & paste it via WordPress theme editor.

    4. You cannot put up any monetizing materials (e.g. Google AdSense, etc.) or any sort of for-profit advertisements but the same rule applies to us, we won’t place any advertisement on your blog or, as a matter of fact, anywhere on there site.

    5. You must blogging actively (at least an update per month) or else your blog would be scheduled for deletion but we would backup your blog entries on and send it to you before completely removing it.

    6. You can’t upgrade (as in to the newer version of WordPress) your blog by yourself but we’ll do it for you after every stable release of WordPress has been tested.

    Do check out the demo!

Users can now upload files through the WordPress in-line uploading.

I’m still more than happy with my blog on blogrunn. Quality situation, very helpful folks.

    khyrel,

could you elaborate a little more on how you configured wordpress to enable users to sign up for a blog on your website? I am trying to start a niche social network and would like to have a blog community aspect to the website, where my users can sign up for a blog (powered by wordpress) but hosted on my site. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i believe this is what u looking for.

all blogs on blogrunn are set up manually by first creating the domain name, then the database, after that we extract the files and configure the config file and finally install it.
