Recently I have found that scheduled blogs are marked as “Missed Schedule.” I have been scheduling them to post at 8:00 AM since 2013 and this has only been an issue in the past couple of months, and then only sporadically. In contacting my host as well as AIOSEO (as I thought it was their issue) the consensus has been that the Site Health checkup is interrupting the blog as it is trying to post. I cannot find any place in the plugin that tells me when it does its thing, so can’t alter that. Any suggestions?

I could change the time I set for publishing, if someone would tell me why my Add New Post publishing button seems to think it is 19:25 when it is currently 3:25 (15:25).

I could also trash the stupid Site Health plugin. It keeps telling me I need to use “Persistent object cache” but no one here or at my host can tell me how to do that. And I can’t handle a mess of coding! [ I don’t know how to link to my previous question about that: “How to use wp-optimize” but it was marked “Resolved” by you folks but isn’t. I just gave up. ]

Anyway, if anyone can help me to fix the issue of scheduling, I’d appreciate it.

You might want to double-check your timezone settings. In your WP Admin, navigate to Settings→General and scroll down to Timezone. Your scheduled posts go by the timezone you have set there.

Thanks. I had no idea that was there. =-)

Have emailed reply from “sayanrb” with answers to all three questions I had but it doesn’t show up in this section (although 3 paticipants are noted.) Any idea what’s up there?

    Glad to help!

It could be that the user “sayanrb” was blocked after replying for some reason (possible spam), but I don’t know for sure.

Well, if he/she was ‘spam’ they had good ideas!

Do you have any suggestions as to avoiding “Missed Schedule” for my posts? I’m sure that Site Health checkup is interrupting, but I can find no way to contact anyone who created Site Health plugin to see when automatic checkups are scheduled. Can you help?

Are you getting a specific error message under Tools→Site Health→Performance? I’m wondering how you’re sure that it’s Site Heath Checkup that’s causing the interruption.

You can also try these steps:

    1. Deactivate all plugins
    2. Create a test post and schedule it to post in a short time in the future, like 30 minutes
    3. If it posts, then there’s likely a conflict with a plugin. Activate one plugin at a time and do the test post step for each one. If the scheduled post doesn’t run, you know that the culprit is the last plugin you activated.
    4. If it still doesn’t post after doing the plugin tests, then try clearing your cache. Use a caching plugin like WP Super Cache.

Since failure to post was sporadic, and the time I had it scheduled was the middle of the night my time, and it only occurred within the past year when I had activated Site Health, it seems to me pretty clear that’s the problem. Also, since it is sporadic I’m not sure if turning off all plugins and doing your check would help much as it is too iffy of a problem. I’m hoping that by getting my time zone correct to match my reality, and thus my 8 AM will be 4 or 5 hours later than the UTC time automatically set previously, I will avoid the conflict. That I’m willing to ‘wait and see.’ Thanks for your advice, tho’,
