blogspot to wordpress re-direction problem

Having moved to wordpress from blogspot I have implemented a redirection, as instructed here:

https://www.labnol.org/internet/switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress/9707/

but it only works halfway – the blogspot site as a whole is redirected to my new wordpress custom domain, but individual posts returned by google do not redirect to the corresponding post on wordpress, but go the top level…. can you suggest what needs to be fixed? The code I used is easily found in that article. Sorry I would ask there but comments are closed, so I’m hoping some smart people here know what I need to do.
